Dorset levels?

We donned our wellies this morning and made a quick trip to the allotment. The site is at the edge of the river Stour, which has flooded for several miles. It was shocking to see just how far the water has spread, and how fast it is running. The water is very high up the bridge carrying the main road into Wimborne.

We were nearly blown off our feet, and after pinning down loose bits on the allotment, we made a quick dash home as the next hail storm arrived.

  1. I was amazed when I went over the bridge on Friday. Looks like your allotment is only just escaping!
