Greenbelt at 40…

A weekend I look forward to and feed from for a long while. The Greenbelt Festival. It is 40 years old this year – we first came in 1980, camping back then, but taking it a bit easier in B and B these days.
Greenbelt is a wonderful and almost overwhelming mix of diverse people, artistic expression, worship, music, dance, writing. Speakers on everything from poetry to politics, food to fiction, theology to sexuality. All with a common thread of commitment to social justice and an out working of faith in a God who loves inclusively and unconditionally.
The ideas shared by speakers and writers takes some processing, mulling over and digesting and I will share them later.
But for now here is a little taste of scenes around the Greenbelt site this weekend.
