The beauty of this morning
Is the sunshine
On textured tree trunks.
The loveliness of today’s sunshine reminds me of the importance of light and dark, brightness and shadow. Without the contrast there would be no textural beauty to enjoy.
How true – it’s the contrast of moods, sights and feelings that let’s us know we’re truly alive.
Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside,
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.

This was the post on Writing Our Way Home after I wrote this small stone. A contrast which is so true but often difficult to live with.
Chiaroscuro. It’s obvious by your post that it’s all about texture. Will you make a tapestry/textile picture. you’ve posted lovely examples of your work in the past.
Great feedback about the light/dark- Chiaroscuro – a lot of food for thought on many levels. And yes, thanks for the encouragement to get stitching again. I haven’t done much recently. Last work can be seen here, but sorry you cant feel the texture!
